Hey Gang.We have a packed out October coming up, some of which is starting at the beginning of the month, Wouldn’t want you to miss out so here is a short event and workshop update for the rest of the month and into October.
Black History Month
We have a super exciting programme for Black History Month.
October 3rd to 16th: 'Stories by the Fire'. An exhibition that celebrates the visual art of the Black Diaspora and highlights the enduring impact of Black British creativity in preserving our own legacy whilst enriching the British Isles. Curated by Curtis Donavan Reserve Your Spot
October 5th: 'Creation Stories' Storytelling and Creative Workshop. Participants will be invited to create artistic responses to several black historic stories with guidance from the exhibiting artist. Reserve Your Spot
October 12th: ‘Drums and Face’ Challenging participants to make masks and drums. continuing the tradition of communal making from indigenous craft to contemporary forms of expression. Reserve Your Spot
October 14th: ‘Firepit Tales Open Mic’ Super special edition hosted by Uncle London. Showcasing Black African/Caribbean and Latin American voices. All welcome. Reserve Your Spot
October 16th: TPF The Photography Foundation x UKBFTOG UK Black Female Photographers Panel Discussion. A very special panel discussion with Black creatives in celebration of Black History Month. Reserve Your Spot
Autumn Exhibition Opening
Whispers of the Infinite
Our Autumn exhibition opening night is Thursday October 24th. Reserve Your Spot Opening nights are kind of unmissable events, the artists are present, they are busy, fun, memorable, soul refilling, connecting, inspirational and super important for supporting working artists. We have LIVE painting happening on the night.
Another gallery space change around with new work and some incredible guest artists. Including fashion photographer, Tim Bret-Day all round super nice guy and you know, took the photo for the cover of David Bowies album ’Hours’

Rest of September
Thursday 19th: Artist Talks. Two of our Firepit artists chatting about their latest work in the new exhibition. Hosted by Lana Mercury. This second session Lana will be chatting to Pragya Kumar and Nicola J Reid - this is a FREE event Reserve Your Spot
Friday 20th: Vision Board Creation Workshop. This workshop is a unique blend of creativity using collage technique and self-discovery. This is a great time of the year to get your vision board created. Reserve Your Spot
Saturday 21st: Pigment to Paint Workshop. Transform ordinary earth into luxurious watercolour paints, creating your own colour palette to take home with you! SOLD OUT
Saturday 21st: Pasta Making Class, Communal Dining Experience, Wine Pairing Option! Explore Italian filled-pasta such as tortelloni & ravioli, followed by a communal feast & amazing Italian wines available by the glass. YES!! This is 100% Firepit approved :) SOLD OUT
Tuesday 24th: Firepit Sound Bath – Alchemy Crystal Bowls with Cara. This is a very popular event, book early. Reserve Your Spot
Wednesday 25th: WOOLLY Wednesday. Weekly drop-in sessions designed for connection, collaboration, and creation. This is in the daytime, from 10:30am Reserve you Spot
Wednesday 25th: Firepit Tales open mic. After having a months holiday, our monthly instalment of Firepit Tales returns. FREE event. Reserve Your Spot
Wednesday 28th: The HUG Workshop with Nelly K. Free Early bird tickets are available. Bring a white t-shirt with you. Fyi, it will not go home white! Reserve Your Spot
