As promised, this is a very short FLAME Newsletter, introducing the events we have at Firepit in early Feb. So without further ado.

Celebrating Chinese New Year

Feb 1st: We welcome back the team behind, ‘Splendours of Henan. A Cultural Tapestry’.  Opening day is on Saturday Feb 1. The exhibition runs until Feb 27 More Details and Tickets

Feb 1st. Taking over the red room, an exhibition curated by Octavia Yang. ‘A Journey Within Inner Light.’  Bringing together 3 exceptional London-based Chinese artists who explore the transformative power of art as a means of healing and self-discovery. More Details and Tickets

Feb 1st: Workshops and Drop in Sessions for the day.  The very busy Octavia Yang is running three bookable workshops, aimed at kids. The workshops look like a lot of fun. Clay Donkey, Cotton Tiger and Lantern Painting. Advisable to book soon as these will sell out and there are limited places. The drop in sessions will be predominately self led and will end whenever the materials run out. Book Your Tickets

Feb 1st: Greenwich Peninsula has a ton of activities taking place, celebrating Lunar New Year, be sure to check them out.

We are hosting Everyone’s A singer CIC for a number of classes and finishing with a listening party. The project is titled, ‘Our Song, Our Story: Girls in Synth.’

Everyone’s A Singer: Our Song, Our Story: Girls In Synth! a FREE programme celebrating the contributions of Black women in Greenwich. Work with writer and historian Stella Dadzie, explore your artistic side with Lison Sabrina Musset (The Collective Makers) and create an original song with our founder Tracy Durrant and the EAS team using synthesizers plus an opportunity to record in a professional studio. Also please note, the Gallery will be closed whilst we are setting up for Chinese New Year Exhibitions. Last day this month is Saturday Jan 25th, then back to normal on Saturday 1st Feb.
