Other News
All three Firepit artists; Ernesto Romano, Marcus Jake & Shumaiya Khan, sold their donated work at the Terrance Higgins Trust Charity auction last month. It was an epic evening at Christie’s Auction House.
We are raising money. We have many, many, plans, ideas and goals. They cost money - Shocker. To help us sustainably continue to raise money, we need to get the alcohol licence sorted, so we can fundraise from the bar at events. This also means an upgrade in our insurance. We are currently creating a program of workshops & events for the summer and beyond, we are keen on having a diverse selection to keep it interesting and fun. Now, to keep this accessible as possible, we need to raise money to subsidise the tickets. Plus a hundred other things! Please consider a donation - your money will be put to great use and will benefit all. Click to Donate
We have Betty & Baki working on our website. It is nothing short of a miracle. We are still planning and tweaking a creative writing course. Our next exhibition, ‘Art of Being’ opens June 20th, it runs for approximately 3 months, alongside it, we are planning events and workshops that tie in to the subject matter of the exhibition. “Art of Being' is a joyous celebration of the unyielding spirit of the human heart and a heartfelt tribute to the courageous souls who dare to embark on the transformative journey through the shadows, emerging stronger, wiser, and more resilient than before.” Sip & Paint. Wine, Prosecco, Paint, DJ Scotty, is in the planning. We are installing an outside sculpture, likely in June. We still want to yarn bomb some stuff. We are talking to a few other charities and organisations about some short and longer term collaborations.
Come and chat to us, what do you want to do? Do you live in the Greenwich borough? Then we really want to talk with you about community events and workshops.
A small picture (or two) of what happened in April…
