What happened to June…?
Meditation, Family Constellations, Drinks with Anna Kennedy OBE, Sunday Kids Art Classes, Djembe Drumming Classes, Kundalini Activations, Sound Bath, Connections, Sold Out Publishing 2 day Book Fair (this was insane!), Business Networking, Fashion Illustration, opening of Exhibit P*, opening of Routines, Opening of Glass Gallery, Festival of Fizz (wine and food), Photo Realistic Drawing Class, Life Drawing, Henna Workshop, Firepit Tales, Painting Workshop. They all happened.

July
What does July look like in Firepit? Well; ‘hot weather, Sip and Paint, Kundalini Activations, Sound bath, likely a few windy days haha, Peninsula Games Night, The volunteers for The Line will have their training sessions here, Yarn Play, air con, Upper Riverside Social Night, we are extending the exhibition Exhibit P*, Djembe Drumming Class, also the last Djembe drumming which will be a performance piece by the course teacher Miriam (epic!), Opening Night for the exhibition - Queer Migrations, Good Vibes, Connections Creative and wellness workshop, House of Art Presents - Sip and Scroll, Firepit Tales Spoken Word, Life Drawing, Ravensbourne MA Show opening. Huh, maybe not as quiet as i was thinking.

August. Heads up, the gallery will be closed for two weeks. I’ll be thinking of you all whilst I am in Porto with Robin drinking Port and eating delicious Portuguese food. So don’t come by between August 10th - 25th. We are re-opening on Tuesday 26th (my birthday in case you wanted to bring a gift:)

Also in August we have Lucie who runs the Kundalini Activation, doing a book signing for her brand new book, a Wine Masterclass - Argentina (wine and food - actual Argentinian Chef!), Meditation, Peninsula Games night, Hat Making, Kundalini Activation, Sound Bath, Firepit Tales, Life Drawing, My Birthday and the first Routines Artist led Workshop.

Bold Mellon Collective, in collaboration with Firepit and Royal Greenwich Festivals are hosting a new Red Room exhibition as part of their Queer Migrations Community Arts Festival! Running from July 15th - August 9th with an opening event on JULY THURSDAY 17TH - featuring live music by STAND!BACK -  a theremin and harp duo, followed by an informal Q&A with the artists involved.

This event will be BSL interpreted, with earplugs, sensory toys & decompression space available.

Exhibit P* has been extended until SATURDAY JULY 5TH in the Red Room, so there is still time to come along! It has been described as 'visceral', 'rebellious' and 'powerful'  - you can read a recent interview with one of the curators here

Exhibit P* presents contemporary works by 10 queer transdisciplinary artists that all engage themes of self-authorship, radical reimagining and resistance to systemic oppressions.
