January 2026

Where do we start?

January always feels like a quiet reset — a chance to gather, reconnect and ease ourselves gently into the year ahead.
At Firepit, we’re reminded why this space exists in the first place: to create a welcoming place where people can come together, feel at home, and explore creativity at their own pace.

Jan / Feb’s programme is filled with workshops and events led by brilliant artists, facilitators, curators and community members, each offering something a little different. Whether you’re returning or visiting for the first time, the fire is lit, the doors are open, and there’s a seat waiting for you by the river.

We have a lot of incredible things coming up. 2026 is going to be a year of the most amazing collaborations.

Our January Vibe. Thanks Alfie for leading the way

Beyond the Ribbon: Art, Science, and Support for the Pink Ribbon Foundation

The Pink Ribbon Foundation (Reg. Charity No. 1080839) is proud to present Beyond the Ribbon, a vibrant exhibition at the Firepit Art Gallery from 27th January to 14th February, coinciding with World Cancer Day. This showcase blends art, science, and storytelling to highlight the fight against breast cancer.

Visitors will see the stunning work of Vincent Muuczynski, Research Fellow at UCL Cancer Institute, who transforms cancer cells under chemotherapy into visually striking, thought-provoking artwork. The exhibition also features unique pieces by contemporary artist Chaya da Silva, donated works from Brian Uhing and S-Ann Ch’i, and select pieces from the BUSTOUT100 and BOLD exhibitions. Artwork spans multiple mediums and will be auctioned or available for purchase, with proceeds supporting the Foundation.

On World Cancer Day (4th February), there will be a private viewing and networking opportunity with free tickets via Eventbrite - a chance to connect, explore, and celebrate resilience. Art lovers can also join an exclusive sip-and-paint session on 6th February with Instagram sensation Chaya da Silva, combining creativity, fun, and philanthropy. Every ticket, visit, and brushstroke directly supports the Pink Ribbon Foundation, funding vital frontline services that provide emotional, practical, and medical support to those affected by breast cancer.

Join Us - experience art with purpose, connect with inspiring creatives, and make a real difference:

Still time to submit to our Spring 2026 exhibition, ā€˜The Abstract Condition’.

Call for Art: The Abstract Condition

At Firepit Art Gallery, we believe art is most powerful when it connects people — when it stirs something real. The Abstract Condition brings together artists who use colour, form, and gesture to explore feeling beyond words. Each work is an invitation to pause, reflect, and find your own meaning within the abstract. This exhibition is about emotion, expression, and the joy of seeing where imagination can take us.

The submission deadline is February 8th 2026. We will start to choose artists from January to use for the promotion and marketing of the event, so it is recommended to get your submissions in early. The Exhibition will run from March 26th to June 27th 2026. We will have the opening night party on Thursday March 26th 2026. We would require all work to be delivered, no later than March 2nd. There is no fee to apply. We are committed to inclusivity and providing a supportive and respectful space for all participants.
