August ‘24

Welcome to August. Firepit is having a little holiday, we need a recharge. The gallery will be closed from 12th August for two weeks. Re-opening after the bank holiday on Tuesday 27th. Even Firepit Tales is having a month off! The rest of the year is going to be jam packed with events and workshops.

Workshops and Events

August

Saturday 3rd: Polymer Clay Jewellery making workshop. This is a small group, so get tickets while we still have them. Reserve your spot (there are currently 2 tickets left at the time of writing this, on a 2 for 1 deal!)

September

Every Wednesday this month, starting on the 11th we have, ‘Woolly Wednesdays’. This is a FREE, daytime, weekly drop-in session; designed for connection, collaboration, and creation. Reserve Your Spot

Tuesday 3rd: Fortnightly Meditation group. Our FREE meditation group, facilitated by Cara. Reserve Your Spot

Thursday 5th: Connections - FREE Art and Wellbeing Session with Pragya Kumar. Our September Edition of Pragya’s connective workshop. Reserve Your Spot

Saturday 7th: Mandala Mug Painting Workshop. We have Jenny back for this popular workshop, advisable to book tickets sooner rather than later for this workshop. Reserve Your Spot

Wednesday 11th: Yarn Play with Nicola J Reid - FREE session. Again a very popular workshop, so make sure to Reserve Your Spot well in advance!

Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th: Local Resident organised workshops. If we can get any spare tickets we’ll post them.

Tuesday 17th: Fortnightly Meditation group. Our FREE meditation group, facilitated by Cara. Reserve Your Spot

Thursday 19th: Artist Talks. Two of our Firepit artists chatting about their latest work in the new exhibition. Hosted by Lana Mercury. This second session Lana will be chatting to Pragya Kumar and Nicola J Reid - this is a FREE event Reserve Your Spot

Friday 20th: Vision Board Creation Workshop. This workshop is a unique blend of creativity using collage technique and self-discovery. This is a great time of the year to get your vision board created. Reserve Your Spot

Saturday 21st: Pigment to Paint Workshop. Transform ordinary earth into luxurious watercolour paints, creating your own colour palette to take home with you! Reserve Your Spot

Saturday 21st: Pasta Making Class, Communal Dining Experience, Wine Pairing Option! Explore Italian filled-pasta such as tortelloni & ravioli, followed by a communal feast & amazing Italian wines available by the glass. YES!! This is 100% Firepit approved :) Reserve Your Spot

Tuesday 24th: Firepit Sound Bath – Alchemy Crystal Bowls with Cara. This is a very popular event, book early. Reserve Your Spot

Wednesday 25th: Firepit Tales open mic. After having a months holiday, our monthly instalment of Firepit Tales returns. FREE event. Reserve Your Spot

Also in September (we are still finalising details): Nelly K regular Workshop, Sip and Paint event, Drumming Workshop, Wine tasting evening, Chakra Dance and possibly a few more if we can squeeze them in!

Other News

We have bunch of interactive projects going on in the gallery right now. You can create a brick for Pragya Kumar’s wall project, you can doodle on the Firepit Doodle wall, make a Firepit Postcard and have it displayed in all its glory, Betty and Baki have created a interactive installation for our latest exhibition, titled, ‘Not A Reference Yet’. We have our long table setup for both workshops and for people to come in and use during gallery opening times, so come and use it. Gallery is open Tue-Fri 10-5pm and Sat 11-5pm. Don’t forget we are closed between 12th - 26th August. Re-opening on the 27th August.
